What we collect

• Name — so we know whose skates are whose.
• Phone number — to text you drop-off instructions, let you know when your skates are ready, verify it's really you when you look up your order history, and to track your ℞ Refill credit balance.
• Order details — skate type, hollow, drop-off date/time, and any notes you leave us.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe processes payments directly and shares only confirmation that a payment succeeded.

How we use it

• To manage your sharpening order and let you check its status.
• To send you text messages about your order: drop-off instructions, a pickup-ready notice, and a one-time code when you verify your phone number.
• To track and redeem ℞ Refill credit purchases.
• We do not sell your information, and we don't send marketing texts — only messages directly related to an order or account action you took.

Terms of Service & SMS Terms & Conditions

Text messages (SMS)

Providing your phone number when booking is required to identify your order, and does not by itself sign you up for text messages. If you check the optional "Text me updates" box on the booking form, you'll receive transactional texts about that order (drop-off instructions, a pickup-ready alert). If you use the phone verification feature to look up your order history, you'll receive a one-time verification code by text, triggered only when you request it. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies based on your order activity. Reply STOP at any time to a text from us to opt out, or contact us directly.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of trusted services to run this app. Each only sees the information it needs to do its job:

• Stripe — processes payments. We never see your card details.
• Twilio — delivers our text messages to your phone.
• Supabase — securely stores order and account data.
• Netlify — hosts this website.
• Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces used on this site. Loading a page sends Google a standard web request (your browser and general connection info, same as any website request) — no order, payment, or contact information is ever shared with them.

None of these companies are permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

Data on your device

This app stores a small amount of information directly in your browser (like a verification session, so you don't have to re-verify your phone every visit). You can clear this at any time using the "Forget my verified number on this device" option in the app.

Separately, our own staff devices are registered to receive push notifications about new orders. This is operational data about our own equipment, not customer information — it doesn't include or relate to any individual customer's data.

Your choices

• You can ask us to delete your order history or contact information at any time — just reach out (see below).
• You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, though this may limit our ability to notify you about active orders.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
